Welcome to the only webcomic in the world-- yes, in the WORLD-- that features a redheaded dyslexic half-vampire half-poltergeist named Ed (among... other terrifying things). ~ed-weird exists to house all of ~milo2's work related to the ongoing comic project, Ed Weird. This account is owned, operated, neglected and abused by ~milo2. You're also more likely to see good art over at the main account. Just a warning.

Another warning: the author has pointed out, on several occasions, that the original purpose of this comic is to crush, mutilate, and generally make a mockery out of certain stereotypes in the horror/goth/monster genre. If your wee GawthBrat sensibilities have been offended by anything on this site or in this comic, know that I shall be sniggering at any whiney commentary you feel you absolutely must leave me. OKAY. GUYS. life is crazy. i have photoshite again (huzzah!) and i'm actually sketching out another comic page, not even a week after the previous was posted! i'd say this is a good sign. meanwhile, juggling school and job in between, i'm working on putting up a quote-unquote professional online webspace THING to show off my artistic fumblings to prospective employers. the end of the semester, which, incidentally, should be my last at university, LOOMS AGGRESSIVELY. real life as 'an adult' presumably strangles me the second i graduate.

all this, and i'm considering working on the 'ed weird' comic as something worth publishing. i mean really, really putting my heart into it and making it So Incredibly Spiffy that i could spread it around in real life, not just on deviantART and smackjeeves like the lifeless computer tumour i am.

i'm still slowly, ever so slowly, working on putting together something to self-publish as 'volume 1'; my issue right now is the file quality of what remains on my computer. the original comic arc (remember that mess? oy.) still exists on paper, in an old ring binder deep within the depths of my closet (at my house, five hours away from my dorm), but within my computer i have no high-res copies worth posting in the self-publishing file-bucket-thing. WHAT I MEAN TO SAY IS: i have to at least re-scan and recolour an awwwwful lot of pages before i'll have anything worth giving you guys. i'm fine with that, because i want to do this properly.

NOW. this is the big thing. i'm considering re-drawing the first story arc and most of the second one. essentially every page that wasn't drawn by hand and then coloured digitally, i'd like to redo. the story itself won't be changed, and the 'choreography' will remain the same, since i like the way it works. i just don't like how disgusting the scans are, and how horrid the first shakily-drawn fully-digital pages look. it won't be a COMPLETE redo, because that would be stupid, but i'm definitely seriously considering fixing up some of the earlier pages. if i'm going to put this whole fiasco into print somewhere, i'd like it to be tidied up just a tad.

...come to think of it... honestly, i might even be tempted to slightly alter the first story arc just so it doesn't completely ruin the way ed's character IS. just a couple speech bubbles, really... either way, i'm probably going to include the 'original' pages of the first arc at the back of the finalized book thing. and you'll still be able to see everything here on dA; these pages won't go anywhere for a long while. C:
